Eligibility Criteria
Newly-arrived (enrolling in school within 6 months of their arrival, or for Kindergarten students within 18 months of their arrival) primary school age (5-13years) students who speak a language other than English and whose English is inadequate for study at an Australian primary school are eligible to attend an IEC.
Students who live in Weston Creek or the Tuggeranong Valley are eligible to enrol at TPIEC.
Students who speak a language other than English and who are temporarily resident in Australia are also eligible for enrolment.
Private students who speak a language other than English are also eligible to attend TPIEC after completing the necessary application and payment procedures with the International Education Unit of the ACT Department of Education and Training.
Enrolment procedure
Students enrolling at TPIEC must provide:
- A passport or visa verifying resident status (if born in Australia, a birth certificate)
- A record of immunisation
