Program Aim and Philosophy

Communities@Work's School Age Care Programs aim to provide environments in which each child will feel safe and secure with opportunities to develop physically, socially and emotionally.

Before School Care

Before school care operates from 7.30 am – 9.00 am (not including school and public holidays). The children enjoy a light breakfast and are supervised in a safe environment until their school day begins.

After School Care

Our after school care programs operate during school terms from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm daily. Each program unique in its operation by the nature of the environment and the number of children and staff.  We provide the children with a nutritious afternoon tea each day and offer a range of games and activities to extend their leisure and social opportunities.

Who can use these programs?

It is a requirement of the ACT Government that children must be enrolled in and attending primary school to register for school age care.
